Sitting down to pen this newsletter, it just dawned on me that it has been seven months since the Lord told me in Oct 2013 to step out to develop a new ministry. What a journey it has been so far; and I can’t even find the right words to describe it!

As shared in Houses for the People of Tanauan Leyte: Ministry Trip Report, the trip to Tacloban was very productive. Upon my return, funds for another ten houses have been pledged, bringing it to 16 houses so far, just 4 short of my target of 20 houses in 2014. Building is underway and many families are being blessed through the collective effort of all who have contributed. I give thanks to the Lord for moving hearts, some I don’t even know personally, to give to this cause. For sure, when we respond in obedience, God makes all things possible! Earlier on 4 April, as reflected in Of Almond Trees and Trumpet Trees, I was given the go-ahead to openly declare my next assignment. On 15 April, I officially moved from cave time to wave time! It was very significant as our family celebrated Passover the evening before symbolic of a coming out and into the next phase of development. On 22 April, Archippus Awakening was shared in full at the very first public meeting at Y’s Men’s Fellowship!

Yes, Archippus Awakening is the next assignment that I have received from the Lord. In Col 4:17, Paul says to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry that you have received in the Lord that you may fulfill it.” When the Lord spoke to me so clearly through this verse, I knew that this is what He has tasked me to do: to awaken the saints that they will know and fulfill their God-given Kingdom assignments! This is what I have been working on whilst in the cave, writing the ministry manifesto. In sharing Archippus Awakening with others, I have been affirmed and encouraged that this is something of the Lord and extremely needful in and across the Body of Christ! To this end, I have been invited to bring this message to even more church leaders and to preach at services too. At the same time, the Lord has been bringing divine Kingdom connections and I have been learning so much more from these fellowships! Notwithstanding, it is still at a gestational stage and there is still much to do and put in place. As exciting as this is, it is also extremely overwhelming. Each time I think about the extent of this assignment, I find myself crumbling, promptly running back to the Lord! Now I understand why He used Joshua 3:4 to call me out; for my eyes must be continually fixed on Him “that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.” Just last week, I was physically and emotionally drained, feeling a little alone in this whole venture. My God came through in such a wonderful way when He Pre-Chose the Perfect Time to Encourage Me! How assuring to know that He is watching over me every step of the way.

Serene and I are also very thankful for friends who have rallied around us. Your words of affirmation have been such a source of strength and comfort. We are also not ignorant of the enemy’s tactics and ploys. To this end, we are very appreciative of the shield that is raised over our entire family through the intercessory prayers of the saints. Please continue to uphold us as we prepare for the birthing of Archippus Awakening. There are still many unknowns and many details to look into. We want to hear clearly from the Lord that we may move in accordance to His perfect timing and plan.

As always, we want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who have supported us financially. More than once, this word “sustainability” has come up. Whilst I appreciate the concern, I don’t have the answers; at least not in a business proposal sense. All I know is that people have begun sowing into Archippus Awakening simply because they believe that God will be in it. Others have been moved to bless our family, appreciating that daily needs have to be provided for. To these, we say THANK YOU for your love, obedience and generosity. On our part, we will do our best to steward these resources well. We don’t know where the next dollar will come from, or when. We can only stand on Matt 6:33 to seek first His kingdom and righteousness and trust God to provide for all our needs.

Allow me to close with a little family update. The children are also adjusting to my present itinerant status. They must be wondering why daddy is home more but still as busy; if not busier. The Lim Tribe has celebrated five birthdays already with another four more to come. Yes, everyone is growing and that has allowed Serene more flexibility to be with me at certain meetings. Needless to say, Serene has been and continues to be such a pillar of strength and support to me! Over and above all she has to do at home and for the children, she is also very involved in the discussions and development of Archippus Awakening. I never cease to thank God for her! As you remember our little tribe, please pray for us all. Thank you!

Wow! I know that this update has been a little lengthier than others. Well, many have been eager to know what my next steps are hence the need to share a bit more and I hope it suffices for the time being, appreciating that there is so much more that I am unable to include. Thanks for journeying with us and I look forward to your continued partnership as we co-labour in the work of the Kingdom to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ!
