I don’t believe it … for the very first time, I have missed writing a newsletter!
It is now September and I missed keeping in touch with you in July. After the May update, I launched into a series of ministry engagements that kept me occupied over the past few months. Allow me to share these with you:
It started with a Leaders’ Retreat for the English congregation leaders of Bukit Panjang Methodist Church in JB, 27-28 May. This church camp season, I was the camp speaker for All Saints Presbyterian Church (8-10 June, JB) and Paya Lebar Chinese Methodist Church (contemporary service, 14-17 June, Batam).
Archippus Awakening offered our third AWAKENED ALIGNED ASSIGNED Seminar on 30 June, this time in partnership with Woodlands Evangelical Free Church. This was specially requested by the church, in preparation of their Young Adults’ Retreat in August.
Other than a “Knowing & Fulfilling Kingdom Assignments” Seminar at Aldersgate Methodist Church (21 & 28 July), much of July was spent planning and preparing for Archippus Awakening’s 5th Awakening Event: AWE2018 and 4th Anniversary Dinner. Over the weekend of 3-5 August, AWE2018 drew a participation of 124 Archippuses from various local churches. On the first night (3 Aug), leaders and friends of the ministry joined in with AWE2018 participants to celebrate Archippus Awakening’s 4th Anniversary to the glory of God as we marked 2018 as a year of prophetic significance.
I didn’t get much rest after the celebrations. Quite immediately, Team Archippus left on National Day to serve the young adults of Woodlands Evangelical Free Church at their Young Adults’ Retreat (9-12 August, JB).
Over and above all these main events, I continued to speak at services and meetings, and to teach at Tung Ling Bible School (SOL 30 July – 3 Sept) and also at KINGDOM101, the aligning initiative of Archippus Awakening (just delivered Session #82 last night, 5 Sept!). Speaking of aligning, Archippus Awakening’s MAP (a 6-month Mentoring Aligning Process) started its second run on 7 July. Presently in its 3rd month, all participants and mentors are doing really well.
In between, the Lim Tribe took time out to catch a few movies, bond over family dinners and celebrate three birthdays – Deborah Hope’s in June, Serene’s in July and mine in August.
The past three months have been rather heavy; but the past three weeks have been the most demanding. Amidst all the ministry engagements, we had to manage the design, layout and proofreading (over and over again – thanks to Serene and Sarah) of my next book. Everything was settled just three days ago and the book has finally gone into print. God willing, we will commission ALIGNMENT CHECK on Wednesday 19 September to the glory of the Lord and for the purposes of His kingdom. As I recount the above, I give thanks and praise to the Lord for His grace and strength. There were many days when all I could say to myself was, “Just keep going, just keep going.” I am also so very thankful for the many who continue to cheer me on, praying for me and encouraging me along the way. Needless to say, I am very appreciative of my wife and children, for their partnership, love and understanding, releasing me to do what I need to do in the work of Archippus Awakening.
Once again, my apologies for having missed writing the July newsletter. I hope this update adequately explains why. Thank you for reading and for journeying with me and my family. We greatly appreciate your prayers and support as we serve Jesus and His kingdom.
