Dear friends and co-labourers in Christ
What a joy it is to stay in touch with you through this regular newsletter! I know that everyone has more than his or her share of emails so I shall endeavour to be precise in this update.
So much has happened and I invite you to rejoice with me as I recount these milestones:
On 3 August, Archippus Awakening turned two! Entering the third ‘day’, I sense that the Lord has switched gears for us. The first two years have been a time of rehearsals – walking the ground, getting a better feel, sharpening the message, gaining experience and exposure. We have done and accomplished much, but I believe the Lord has greater things for us in the days ahead! Please read on…
On 5 September, the Chinese edition of Say To Archippus, 要对亚基布说, was commissioned to the purposes of the Lord. By God’s grace, pre-publication orders exceeded 700 copies! I was overwhelmed by the support of brothers and sisters in Christ, coming to stand together for a common cause of the kingdom! Across the three days of 12-14 September, I was involved in the National Prophecy Conference organised by 3:16 Church, speaking alongside five other speakers. Whilst each had his distinct flavour and style, one message rang through very clearly: “The time is short, Jesus is coming back soon!” We have a window of opportunity and we must make every use of it.
On 23 September, after sharing Archippus Awakening in a small group setting, the Lord encouraged me through two younger sisters who felt led to pray for me. They released words of affirmation, confirming the work and message of Archippus Awakening. Genesis 26 was mentioned, and that was the exact passage that came to mind that same afternoon.
Of significance is Gen 26:22, “And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Reheboth, because he said, ‘For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.’”
I believe Archippus Awakening has entered the season of Reheboth, of spaciousness and of fruitfulness! For sure, the kingdom of God is big enough to accommodate everyone. There is no need for insecurity or territorial disputes. There is work to be done, and there are assignments to be fulfilled. The Lord has “made room for us” and “we shall be fruitful”!
This word lined up so well with what the Lord showed me through Joshua 1:11, three days before we celebrated our second birthday. He told me to prepare our people for what is ahead. As we enter the third ‘day’, we will cross over and possess whatever the Lord has prepared for us! Amen, amen! We desire to see many, many Archippuses awakened, aligned and assigned for Jesus and His kingdom!!!
It is no coincidence that we are offering our very own “AWAKENED. ALIGNED. ASSIGNED.” one-day seminar on 3 December at Sengkang Methodist Church. Instead of waiting for invitations to share Archippus Awakening, we felt that it is time to proclaim this message even more boldly and broadly! We want to reach as many as we can, and I invite you to be a part of this initiative. If you have never heard the full message of Archippus Awakening, this is for you! This is so exciting and my heart overflows with the goodness, faithfulness and grace of God! Three years ago, the Lord said that He would take me where I had never been before. And He certainly has not disappointed at all! Today, I have no time for petty squabbles or narrow-minded ministry perspectives. If you have not already noticed, it’s not about us at all – it never has been and it never will be. When all is said and done, it’s God, and God alone who deserves and receives all praise, glory and honour!
Thanks for rejoicing with me, giving praise to the Lord for what He is doing in and through Archippus Awakening. At the same time, I give thanks to the Lord for His hand upon my family. All too soon, our firstborn, David, will be enlisting for National Service next Monday, 3 October. Serene and I can’t believe that 18 years have zipped by so quickly! May the foundation that has been laid in David’s heart hold him in good stead! The Lim Tribe managed a little getaway for some family time and bonding before David enters this new phase of his life. His siblings will surely miss him dearly when he leaves to serve the nation. Please keep David in prayer as he is released into a whole new world of Ah Boys to Men.
I started out determining to be precise in this newsletter. That said, once I get going about the awesomeness of our God and what it means to serve Him, I am sure you understand that it is difficult to contain the excitement and joy, hence the extra number of words!
