Earlier this year, Aaron, Esther and Ruth attended a silkscreen workshop at the Singapore Tyler Print Institute (STPI) where they created their own silkscreen art pieces based on the theme “I CAN FLY”.
Along with others, their creations became a part of the art exhibition, HELLO I AM 2013 – I CAN FLY, organised by The Coffee Connoisseur (TCC) and STPI. Proceeds from the sale of these art pieces ($199 each) would then go to the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund to help children with needs.
In April, Esther’s creation was selected to be featured in the Little Red Dot, a publication for students.
This morning, Saturday 1 June 2013, the Lim Tribe attended the Certificate Presentation Ceremony at TCC’s Boat Quay outlet at 51 Circular Road. Mr Gerard Ee was the guest-of-honour who graced the occasion and presented certificates to all the young artists.
After the presentation, a lady (Ms Rosalind Soo) stepped up to Aaron and asked him not to leave yet as she had selected his art piece and would like him to autograph it! What a thrill it was for Aaron! And such an encouragement too.
Needless to say, Serene and I are so proud of all three of them. Well done, Aaron, Esther and Ruth!!!
