It’s not often I don’t have any ministry engagements on Saturday. So since this was one of those rare days, we wondered what to do as a family. Hey, why not a picnic? Nothing fancy, just a little outing to Bishan Park for all the kids to run around and have some outdoor fun.
Serene made some brownies. I cut some mangoes. For dinner, we ordered two pizzas and some side orders of calamari, chicken and cod nuggets and fried cheese balls. On the way to the park, we picked up some canned drinks from the provision shop downstairs.

The weather was great. Sunny, but not too hot at 5pm+; even had a nice breeze. Played soccer with David, Sarah, Aaron and Ruth (!) … yes, my four year-old daughter 🙂 She didn’t do too badly actually. After that, we played dog-and-bone. Esther and Deborah had their own fun with the frisbees. Serene had a little rest on the mat while Anna Joy napped in the stroller.

It was a short outing but we had good fun together as a family. Praise God for memorable moments like these!
hee..I must say it is so rare (and such a blessing) to actually be able to play “dog and bone” within the family *winks*.=)
I’m waiting for the day I can sit on the mat with Serene and watch the children play dog-and-bone all by themselves 🙂
